Report 1.6: Graduates and Dropouts by Subgroup (Retired as of 6/30/2020)

Description: The graduate and dropout counts are based on students who exited during the prior academic year. Re-enrollment in another LEA is not evaluated for purposes of adjusting dropout counts. Report Type: Snapshot/Certification (Fall 1)

Data As Of: Fall 1 Census Day (First Wednesday in October)

Reporting Cycle

Graduate/Dropout Reporting Cycle – August 16 of the prior academic year to August 15 of the current academic year

Basic Select Criteria

  • Graduates and dropouts must have Enrollment Exit Date within the Graduate/Dropout Reporting Cycle
  • Snapshot – Must have a SINF record that wholly or in part overlaps a qualified enrollment
  • Student must have a Student Grade Level equal to 07 - 12, or US
  • Selection criteria for Program data
  • effective on any date during the graduate/dropout reporting cycle, regardless of whether the record is owned by the school being reported

Specific Selection Criteria

  • Graduates: Enrollment Status of 10 (Primary) or 40 (Specialized Services Only)
  • Exit code equals E230
  • Completer Code equals 100, 250, 330

NOTE: Enrollment Status Code “40” should ONLY be used for students who had participated in a CAHSEE Intensive Instruction prior to 2015-2016.

  • Dropouts:
  • Enrollment Status of 10 (Primary)
  • Exit Code equals E140, E300, E400, T270 or T380
  • Other Dropout: Exit Code E230 Completer Code equals 104, 360

Lost Transfers – not included on report

  • Unresolved ERD Type C anomalies (Lost Transfers) will be added to the dropout count in the statewide report (a.k.a Dataquest)

Re-Enrolled Dropouts – not considered on report

  • Reported dropouts with a subsequent enrollment detected will be deducted from the Statewide report (a.k.a. Dataquest).

Report Filters: Filters can be selected resulting in only totals for the selected filter being displayed – legend on bottom of last page of report states which filter/s were selected

1 School code is derived from user ID permission and Expected Schools table
2 School Name is determined by #1 and the Expected Schools Table. School Name column leads to Report: 1.7 Graduates by Subgroup – Student List
3 SENR Field 1.27 – Student Exit Reason or SENR Field 1.28 – Completion Status (Exit codes stated above). SINF 2.18 – Student Birth Date equals age 3 to 21 on census day of reporting year and SINF 2.22 – Student Birth Country does not equal US or PR and SINF 2.46 – Enroll in US School less than 3 year indicator equals ‘Y”
4 SPRG 3.13 – Education Program Code equals 127 (Gifted and Talented) and SPRG 3.14 – Education Program Membership equals 1 or 3 and SPRG 3.15 – Program Membership Start Date and SPRG 3.16 – Program Membership End date are effective on any date during the Graduate Reporting Cycle regardless of whether the record is owned by the school being reported.
5 SPRG 3.13 – Education Program Code equals 135 (Migrant) and SPRG 3.14 – Education Program Membership equals 1 or 3 and SPRG 3.15 – Program Membership Start Date and SPRG 3.16 – Program Membership End date are effective on any date during the Graduate Reporting Cycle regardless of whether the record is owned by the school being reported.
