Report 1.9: Completers and Dropouts - Count (Retired as of 6/30/2020)

Description: Reports the Dropout and Successful HS Completer counts at the school level.

Report Type: ODS and Snapshot/Certification (Fall 1)

Data As Of:

  • If ODS version, user defined
  • If Snapshot version, Fall 1 Census Day (First Wednesday in October)

Reporting Cycle

  • Graduate/Dropout Reporting Cycle – August 16 of the prior academic year thru August 15 of the current academic year

Basic Select Criteria

  • Completers and dropouts must have an Enrollment Exit Date within the graduate/dropout reporting cycle or specific dates given below.
  • Snapshot – Must have a SINF record that wholly or in part overlaps a qualified enrollment
  • Student must have a Student Grade Level equal to 07 - 12, or US
  • Selection criteria for Program data effective on any date during the graduate/dropout reporting cycle, regardless of whether the record is owned by the school being reported

Specific Selection Criteria

  • Graduates: Student must have an Enrollment Status of 10 (Primary) or 40 (Receiving Specialized Services Only) NOTE: Enrollment Status Code “40” should ONLY be used for students who had participated in a CAHSEE Intensive Instruction prior to 2015-2016

  • Dropout: Student must have an Enrollment Status of 10 (Primary) See Appendix C of the CALPADS DataGuide for detail definitions of all Exit Reasons

Lost Transfers – not included on report

  • Unresolved ERD Type C anomalies (Lost Transfers) will be added to the dropout count in Dataquest

Re-Enrolled Dropouts – not considered on report

Reported dropouts with a subsequent enrollment detected will be deducted from Dataquest

Report Filters: Filters can be selected resulting in only totals for the selected filter being displayed – legend on bottom of last page of report states which filter/s were selected
