Report 1.14: Dropouts Count – State View

(Updated as of 11/1/2023)

Description: Reports the official/statewide count of dropouts by Ethnicity/Race within Grade and Gender. The LEA’s dropout count is adjusted for Lost Transfers and Re-enrolled Dropouts, both Other Dropouts and No Show Same School Dropouts. This report is available during and after the Fall 1 certification window.

Data As Of:

  • Fall 1 Census Day (First Wednesday in October)

Basic selection criteria:

  • Students who have been determined to be Dropouts (excluding those students who re-enrolled) based on exits during the Dropout Reporting Cycle: August 16th of the prior academic year to August 15th of the current academic year
  • SENR – Enrollment Status = Primary (10) & Grade Level = 07 – 12
  • SINF – record that wholly or in part overlaps a qualified enrollment.
  • SPRG – based on dropout date range regardless of whether the record is owned by the school being reported

Report Filters: Filters can be selected resulting in only totals for the selected filter being displayed – legend on bottom of last page of report states which filter/s were selected

Report 1.14: Dropouts Count State

Column Rules
1 School code is derived from user ID permission and Expected Schools table. This field can be expanded to show by Enrollment Status and Grade categories.
2 School Name is determined by #1 and the Expected Schools Table
3 Grade Level Code – this field can be expanded to show Grade within Ethnicity and Race categories
4 Gender Code – this field can be expanded to show by Gender within Ethnicity and Race categories
5 Total # - Count of Dropouts
6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 Number (#) – Count of dropouts in each ethnicity/race disaggregated category
7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 ** Percentage (%) – Percentage of dropouts in each ethnicity/race disaggregated category
20 Number (#) – Count of dropouts with multiple race categories
21 Percentage (%) – Percentage of dropouts with multiple race categories
22 Number (#) – Count of dropouts with race code missing indicator selected
23 Percentage (%) - Percentage of dropouts with race code missing indicator selected

Note: No Show Same School Dropouts are only for reports prior to 2016-17 academic year.
